Flexible Modelling for Requirements Engineering
نویسندگان
چکیده
Many applications that are developed do not completely fulfil the requirements of their stakeholders. This can be a result of inadequate requirements elicitation and poorly defined requirements. Many solutions, including model-driven inspired ones, have been proposed to improve the elicitation of the requirements, though many of them are not yet widely used in practice as they require training of both the employees and the stakeholders. In this paper we propose the use of flexible modelling for eliciting and capturing the requirements of applications to facilitate the production of correct products that deliver on the contract defined between clients and developers. We argue that the use of flexible modelling can lower the entry barrier for use in the industry. The proposed method, called FlexRE, is applied to a scenario to demonstrate its capabilities and ways it can be extended.

Modelling and Scheduling Lot Streaming Flexible Flow Lines
Although lot streaming scheduling is an active research field, lot streaming flexible flow lines problems have received far less attention than classical flow shops. This paper deals with scheduling jobs in lot streaming flexible flow line problems. The paper mathematically formulates the problem by a mixed integer linear programming model. This model solves small instances to optimality. Moreo...
متن کاملJSMF: a Javascript Flexible Modelling Framework
Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) technologies are more and more used outside the software engineering field such as the typical cases of code generation and formal validation and verification. In fact, MDE is applied to many different modelling situations such as regulation, law compliance, data analytics, etc. In these domains, we often face incomplete and/or evolving requirements, which implies...
متن کاملSimultaneous Lot Sizing and Scheduling in a Flexible Flow Line
This paper breaks new ground by modelling lot sizing and scheduling in a flexible flow line (FFL) simultaneously instead of separately. This problem, called the ‘General Lot sizing and Scheduling Problem in a Flexible Flow Line’ (GLSP-FFL), optimizes the lot sizing and scheduling of multiple products at multiple stages, each stage having multiple machines in parallel. The objective is to satisf...
متن کاملAgent Orientation as a Modelling Paradigm
Agent orientation is emerging as a new paradigm for constructing software systems. Agentoriented systems are expected to be more powerful, more flexible, and more robust than conventional software systems. This paper argues for a shift towards agent orientation at the level of requirements engineering, quite separately from the concept of agent as a software construct. Requirements analysis rel...
متن کاملControl of Wheeled Mobile Manipulators with Flexible Suspension Considering Wheels Slip Effects
Wheeled mobile manipulators utilize both the locomotion capabilities of the wheeled platform and manipulation capacity of the arm. While the modelling and control of such systems have previously been studied, most of them have considered robots with rigid suspension and their wheels are subject to pure rolling conditions. To relax the aforementioned limiting assumptions, this research addresses...
